ive just gotten back into working out hard again for the first time in a while. like everyone else, im going for a somewhat nicely built/toned body. do supplements really make THAT big of a difference? if so, what should i do to make sure i get the maximum result out of them, and how much of a difference would it actually make?
It seems like I’ve been telling a lot of folks this lately. Muscle supplements are just that — supplements. They may supplement an already productive diet and training program. Are they necessary? Absolutely not. Do they help? Some do, most don’t. Usually, the ones with the biggest promises are the ones that produce the least (and will even give you problems down the line).
A lot of people — A LOT — use these supplements because they think they cannot get muscular otherwise. What they don’t realize is that NO SUPPLEMENTS IN THE WORLD will make an ineffective training/diet program into an effective one. Period. Never has. Never will.
My recommendation — if you are looking to spend some money on supplements, spend your money instead on a certified personal trainer and a licensed dietician if you are really really serious about getting in shape. Don’t go the supplement route. The charlatans in the white coats or the bodybuilders that promote them — well, they make big promises but they leave a lot out (including, steroid use, the impact of genetics, et cetera).
Do it safe, do it wisely — get informed and take natural muscle growing supplements like FOOD. Your body will appreciate it!
